SoulCollageTM speaks...

Many SoulCollage cards and the images they contain resonate with the people who view them. Although the cards are initially created as a personal reflection, because of our many similarities and experiences
we recognize those aspects and feel a kinship.... In each card one can see that light and dark aspects of self are represented in the image and in the voice, this is the spectrum of the whole self.

SoulCollage always seems to seek witnesses; cards and their makers enjoy creating and sharing their experiences and insights. Listen to the Voiced Images below and return here to view new additions. Demeter and Persephone Mythos - Speaks...


Demeter -
I am the one who grew my womb and my daughter as I hibernated. I am the one who is goddess and great mother, I am the one who gives birth and carries my young on my back. My commitment and love tied me to my girl and she to me...the umbilical that is uncut. Life force flows between us goddesses. I am the one who lets go reluctantly falling as I must release her into the circle. I am the one who when faced with loss falls backwards into my constructed life. I ignore the circle of petals as I fall through the clouds of doom and despair. I am the great mother untethered...I am the one who does not trust anyone but myself, not my young and not the universe. I am the one who is in bondage and withdraws my abundance until my young one returns to me.

Persephone
I am the one who cuts the cord risking myself to desire, I am the maiden of above and the queen to below...  

 

Stone Mother - Demeter
I am the one who withdraws and becomes like stone - unfeeling to the needs around me, I withdraw my bounty and winter descends...

 

Persephone
I am the one who is blooded, I am the one who is trapped beneath, the deep enfolding me - tentacles of the monster held at bay - I sleep...

 

Persephone
I am the one who finds a way to reclaim my life. I find a way back to the sun, yet the winter remains in me. The cord is now of above and below, I wake...

 

Voice Song

Persephone -
I am the one who finds voice to sing a new song. I am the golden nugget that glows with the warmth of the sun, where ever I am. The warmth and the light of the sun returns me to myself. I bloom my beloved spring flowers - releasing my voice into the light. The noose releases my throat and I open and grow into the spring and summer that remains within.

Demeter-
I am the one who sings abundance whenever I can...My gift is growth, seasonal change and acceptance of joy and exuberance. I open my self to all that is good and I do not take joy for granted. I wait for spring to return and I nurture the gifts that await - through all of my seasons. I turn back to the one I was before grief took me and I choose life...

taking things too seriously,

Water off my back...

A belly laugh

A leap of faith

Wallowing

I am the one who wallows,

I am the one who grumbles and munches,
 
Saying “Leave me alone, I am busy,

No one is home"

I am the one who is a part-time hermit

Building my dam and hiding,

I am the one who wants to curl up

Bury myself in pillows,

Alone

Taking time to drift, to fantasize, and to feel grumpy!

Seeking

I am the one who seeks,

I am the one who experiences different stages of my life,

Finding the light and the shadow within - following me,

At times illuminated,

At times integrated,

I am the one who balances,

Wisdom with openness,

Lessons with play,

Searching with surety,

I am the one who is anchored,

Trusting my instincts,

Bitter Victim - Shadow Queen Bee

I  am the one who is bitter,
I am the one who looks everywhere and criticizes,
making it all about me, the Queen Bee.

I am the one who is married to
the "four horseman of the apocalypse"; Bitter, Victim, Judgmental and Righteous,

I am the wounded ego,
 
Unwilling to speak my fears,

I am the one who stays separate,

A diva denied by unworthy,

All niceties zipped up,

I am the one who holds onto Martyr,

My purse is loaded to beat off 
    the friendly passerby,

   I am the one who is wound tight
    and can't have fun,

 I am the one who is crabby,

the one who might laugh at myself,

If I ever paused to look in the mirror.

Visionary

I am the one who is a visionary,

I am the one who sees clearly,

At what is, and beyond,

Finding new possibilities,

Through intuition,

In growth

I am the one who learns and discovers,

I am the one who uses intellect and imagination together,

Finding strength,

To build,

And to be,

I am the one who looks up.
