  2. Layers of personal archeology, archetypal influence, historical, familial and future focused reference (as in quest) that influence direction and movement.
  3. Path-finding with structure of theme, intuition, guidance and art as symbolic language.
Personal Myth, Fairytale and Mythos:
Using my definition of Mythos (as shared above) this is an invitation into a place of enormous importance, within your own psyche. This is a place of possibility, new understanding waiting to be told and pathways to unfold. Imagine yourself facing a door to somewhere special, somewhere unknown yet recognized. You open the door and step through into a mythical world of your imagining and creation...your inner landscape awaits...

You will use a structure
of a myth, fairytale, story or other framework that appears to be a good fit:
-Think of the possibilities found in Alice in Wonderland, might you be taking the journey as the white rabbit, Alice or the red queen?
-In myth of Persephone, are you in your journey as the Kore/Persephone or as Demeter, the grief stricken stone mother , or perhaps threads of both are found in your own story.
-Are you sensing an invitation from the orphaned child in The Secret Garden or do the garden rooms call to you? Are you feeling some connection to the perspective of the daughter or the stepmother in Cinderella, Rhiannon of the Welsh hills, the dismembered Osiris waiting to be found, the spider woman weaving the world, the red thread of Ariadne in the Minotaur's labyrinth or the woman who sings over the bones...
Notice the fairy tales, regional stories and multi-cultural myths that have impacted you. A poem, a book, a line or a chapter, a landscape, a character or imagery from a story or myth may be the perfect starting place. What these stories mean and how they are used will be part of your discovery and the journey. Wherever you begin your Mythos, you will follow new pathways and likely you will move away from the structure of the story you begin with. The original framework is often important and reflects your intentions and needs starting out...

You will bring yourself
as the myth-walker; the hero/heroine, the queen, the magician, the traveler, the dancer, the crone, the child or the gypsy. Whoever you need to be for this journey, you are. Using metaphor, image and symbol, guided imagery, examples, you will unfold your own Mythos experience through writing, art and creative process. It is a unique and individual experience, matching your own desire to engage, play, seek and find...influenced by elements, aspects, guides, challengers and allies that you choose to include.

You will make art in ways that excite you, they may be well known to you such as collage, painting, writing - or new and exploratory, using found materials, book making, masks or fiber arts. Anything goes as far as art, all levels of experience and creative ways of expressing are welcome. We will be sharing with each other and there will be wonderful opportunities to branch out and explore new ways to make art.

You will have a community
to share and converse with about what you are discovering, creating and questioning. The class web group is private and "sacred space". It is a place for information and exchange, a hub where we will share ideas and art. Most importantly we will support and celebrate each others' myth-walking, and the Mythos journey unfolding.

A private experience is also available to you: work one to one through a private Mythos coaching process with Cat. Over the phone/web, in my studio or in your home, are all options. Coaching and support structures are offered to meet your specific needs...
