Fall is the perfect time for checking in...
with yourself!
Fall is right around the corner...what great time to grab a cup of tea and check in with yourself asking, "right now what are my biggest priorities and needs". Fall is often a time for cleaning up and clearing out - clutter, lists, clothes, the car....all necessary and helpful, but what about the inside stuff. This is a gateway season, a wonderful time to take a break and check in with yourself in a deeper way, asking "what does my creativity have to tell me about my needs?".
* What are my unmet needs?
* How can I feed my inner self/my creative soul?
* What is unresolved or blocking my energy?
* How am I taking care of myself?
* What does creativity have to tell me?
How will you take the time to check in with yourself? For you is it sitting in silence or swaying to music? Body conscious with Yoga/Chi Kung or stillness? Listening to and being in nature or walking in the city? Journaling or drawing circles on a piece of paper? These are some of the ways to hear the whispers of creativity, through any or all of your five senses... with a sixth sense waiting for that inner knowing.
Creativity has a lot to say to you!
Just take a few minutes ...maybe 10-15 minutes per day to check in and listen to yourself on the inside let this time be your sacred "checking in-side" time. Make a commitment to spend at least 10 minutes per day for 7 days, with you, and see what happens...mark the time with something special, light a candle, say a blessing, touch your heart or clap your hands! Remember to take a moment to close this sacred time with a word or a gesture, and allow the magic of your own wisdom and creativity to emerge.
